Daniel, Chelsea and I set out on a dreamy May evening to capture their engagement photos along Commonwealth Avenue's Back Bay stretch, hoping for pink spring blossoms and maybe a sunset along the Charles River Esplanade. Both Boston transplants, they share a love for the city and hoped to capture a variety of locations in their session. We all came away with full hearts, cheeks that hurt from smiling so much, and a "way more fun experience than I ever expected!" (to quote this gorgeous bride).
I think engagement sessions are beyond valuable for my engaged couples. Not only does the session give us time to get to know each other, and help them practice being in front of the camera ("not my favorite thing" -many a person), but in the midst of the chaos of wedding planning, it gives my couples time for a fun date night! They get to dress up, experience an activity not in the range of usual Wednesday-night-date-nights, and have time carved out to reconnect with each other.
I've known Daniel and Chelsea for a while; between mutual friends in both Boston and the Bay Area, we'd crossed paths and become friends overs several years. I was on hand to capture Daniel's proposal in the Mt Auburn cemetery several months earlier, and can't wait for their August wedding at the Bradley Estate!
