Grace & Leerang’s early fall wedding was a thoroughly Cambridge event, taking place on the blocks surrounding the MIT buildings where the couple first met. As a former Cambridge resident myself, I loved how “local” the day felt. From their first look at MIT’s Killian Court to the Nuptial Mass at St Mary of the Annunciation Parish to the reception at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, their wedding day easily showcased the gems and historic beauty of Boston’s neighboring city.
In the months leading up to a wedding, I get to know the couples I work with through phone calls, emails, and their engagement session. But it often isn’t until the wedding day - and the reception - that I really learn about who a couple is within their community. The toasts and stories that were shared about Grace & Leerang were so thoughtful, warm, and had guests in stitches laughing; they reflected a couple who loves deeply, who gives back generously to their community, and who pursues life with intentionality and a healthy sense of adventure. From the wings of the reception, laughing and tearing up at the snippets of life being shared, I marveled at the ineffable privilege it is to photograph a wedding day.
