This wedding was one for the books. It takes a really special couple to bring together 270 guests and still have a wedding that feels close & intimate.
When I spoke with Olivia & Bruno early on in the planning process, two things immediately stood out as front & center to their planning: the centrality of the Mass and the importance of having their families & friends with them throughout the whole day. The Mass - with a church packed to the gills, children in every row, a choir of seminarians, and a half-dozen priests - was bursting with life and excitement.
Despite 90-degree heat, the party carried on in what might be one of my all-time favorite receptions to date. Sparhawk’s outdoor grounds were the perfect setting for an extended cocktail hour, lawn games, and, what I now think every wedding should have - a canoe full of drinks and brothers manning a huge barbecue. If that isn’t a family event, then I don’t know what is.
