Is there anything more fun than having 100 of your friends and family join you for a whole weekend to celebrate your wedding?!
Two Californians-turned-Bostonians, Matt & Alex were so excited to welcome all their friends and family to the Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite for a gorgeous, hiking- and party-filled weekend to celebrate the beginning of their marriage. I joined the wedding weekend for a day-before hike with Matt and Alex, where we headed up the South Fork Tuolomne River towards Carlon Falls. (Of all the activities I've ever done with Matt and Alex - remember their tandem bike engagement session? - Alex has managed to do most of them in a white dress... she's just next level. See below!)
Matt & Alex are just wonderful. They radiate joy and their ability to bring people together is remarkable; I don't think I've ever seen them without a smile, and the entire weekend was such a celebration of their selfless love. Often during a wedding, usually during toasts or a first dance, I think, "wow, what an honor it is to be here". With Matt & Alex, I can say that thought crossed my mind a half dozen times throughout the weekend.
